Learning Chinese With Efficiency

Have you ever come across anyone who has learned anything in a day? No right and that is the first thing you need to understand before you jump the gun. It takes a lot of patience, hard work, and investment of time if you want to learn anything and also excel in it.

And when you are trying to learn a language like Chinese, there is not going to be any ‘you can learn Chinese in 15 days’ kind of lies here. But a clear goal and a solid plan will definitely gradually lead you there. The improvement in learning is going to happen in much faster pace.

There is a certain plan that you need to execute and make an effective plan. With Chinese, it is not some everyday language that you pick and think you’ll easily cope with it. There are a few clarifications you’ll need like why do you want to learn it, how badly do you want to learn it, are you okay with basic Chinese or you want to go deep into the language, and once you have figured all this, only then go ahead with the language. The first thing you’ll have to do is decide what are you going to learn, whether it will be Mandarin or Cantonese.

Here are a few tips that you can follow if you are seriously looking to learn the language;

1) Be loud and clear with what you are reading, you will have to put your reading ability to use. This memory is going to help you in memorizing the pronunciations and enunciations of the language.

2) Increase the frequency at which you study normally. Take some time every day and spend it on Chinese, it will generally take once a week, even if the training time is very long, it is complicated to become skilled at a language.

3) You will have to avoid on gorging things, rather it’ll be better to piecemeal it. Divide your time into tiny periods and then do the learning; hogging everything at once is going to confuse you immensely. Take regular breaks in between the learning.

4) Connect your gestures also with the tones. When you are into learning the four Pinyin tones, make sure you use your drawings for shaping the pronunciations better and rectify the errors if any.

5) Writing yourself is always better than verbal learning. So while you are learning the characters, come into a habit of doing them in the lattice exercise books, more like we were taught to write in our cursive books when we were young, just like that. Memorize them and pay a lot of attention to the arrangement of the character and the stroke order.

6) If you want to better, keep vocabulary cards with you all the time. And make those cards yourself; making vocabulary cards will help you in getting better at character identification.

7) Don’t study hardcore, but it has been researched that going through something just before you crash helps you retain the memory better. So do a little something before crashing for ten or fifteen minutes.

8) Find yourself a partner who is Chinese and try to talk to them in their language, this is going to help you in understanding where has your learning level reached and how can you make it better. Plus your partner can help you hold on to correct sounds and manner of speech.

So these are a few tips that you can follow if you really are looking forward to learning Chinese and hopefully you are going to get hold of the language with flying colors.
